Gregory is a Baltimore native who found his way to The University of The Arts in Philadelphia, where he earned a Fine Arts degree in Woodworking and Furniture Design. Starting in 1994, he created furniture and interned with artists in Philadelphia before moving to Asheville, NC to hone his skills with fellow artists, carpenters, and architects. He eventually found his way back to Maryland to work for Nordstrom in the company’s visual production divison, gaining the opportunity to diversify his skillset.
“I believe aesthetics is an extension of our personalities, and what visually stimulates us,” Gregory explained. “This desire to be unique is what drives us to customize our surroundings to set ourselves apart from the rest. I am always excited to collaborate with people to help them find new ways to embellish their environments.”
When out of the office Gregory is probably working on his house, or in Ocean City, MD enjoying life at the beach with his family and looking for waves to surf with friends.
Doug has been with Adler Display for 10 years. His Dad, who is a photographer, instilled a strong creative drive in Doug. He pursued this creative drive, by earning a BA in Fine Arts from a small Liberal Arts school in Maine. He grew interested in design after realizing a career in the fine arts probably was not realistic.
“It’s not often you find yourself loving what you do for a living,” Doug said, “and I’m lucky to be doing just that. There is still a sense of excitement that comes with (most) new projects; a feeling I hope to never lose.”
When he is not sitting in front of a computer screen with his headphones on, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, who never fail to keep him busy.
