Adler Display designs Signage for BACVA Visitor Center

Friday, October 12th, 2012

It may have happened way back in 2004, but we at Adler Display are still very excited about the work we did for the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association (BACVA) Visitor Center. Adler Display designed two high-tech ticker tape signs, state-of-the-art plasma and LCD monitors and interactive programs, as well as traditional displays and multimedia digital exhibits for BACVA.

  • Ticker-Tape Displays: These displays provide visitors with up-to-date information about events in and around Baltimore.
  • Digital Displays: “The idea is to draw people visiting the Inner Harbor into the Visitor Center and then dazzle them with the latest technology delivering the up-to-date information once inside,” said Ron Adler, president of Adler Display. “All high-tech, multimedia exhibits throughout the Center, as well as all interior and exterior signage, are linked and centrally controlled by an on-site computer.”
  • Traditional Displays: Adler Display designed three brochure displays with large back-lit photos and overhead sculptural panels, as well as two Baltimore Transportation Map displays.

“[Adler Display] worked hand-in-hand with the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association on the display design and construction to ensure that together we are putting Baltimore’s best foot forward,” said Adler. “We are very excited about this project and proud of how it promotes our hometown.”

Adler Display: Helping Make the World a Better Place One Display at a Time

Friday, October 5th, 2012

At Adler Display, we not only take pride in our work, creating some of the most aesthetically pleasing trade show displays and permanent displays, but we also pride ourselves in the way we do business. And recognizing our impact on the environment, we at Adler Display implemented a green initiative to reduce our waste and provide our clients with greener displays.

Reducing Internal Waste: At our facility in Baltimore, Maryland, we have implemented ways to reuse and recycle materials. In our offices, our staff recycles paper, bottles, cans, and boxes. And in our production department, our staff places excess paper, plastic, glass, and other materials used in the production of displays in special recycling containers for weekly pickup by Integrated Waste, our partner and client.

We estimate that we have reduced our waste by more than 80% through this initiative.

Producing Green Displays: At Adler Display, we actively seek out production materials made of recycled materials. Our displays themselves, from our bamboo banner stands to our large aluminum displays, are also recyclable.

We have many clients who not only request green displays, but require them, and we are more than happy to oblige. Just ask any of our associates about how you can make your displays green displays.

If you would like to learn more about Green Displays, or if you would like to know what Adler Display can do for you, please contact us by calling 410-281-1200 or visit AdlerDisplay.com.

Your advice, enthusiasm, professionalism, and creativity brought our concept to life—not sure we could have done it without you.” —The Community College of Baltimore County

Lead Generation Follow-Up and Trade Show ROI :: Adler Display

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

Okay, your trade show is over. Now what? Well, now the real work begins. Don’t let your leads fall into the Sales Lead Black Hole, where 80% of trade show leads inevitably wind up. It is time to take advantage if those trade show leads / sales leads!

Tips for Lead Generation Follow Up

Organize & Prioritize: Take a few minutes to evaluate your priorities and organize them for follow-up. Remember, your current clients should always come before prospects. Don’t ignore you current clients to go after a sales lead.

Sort Through the Sales Leads: Follow up with your most promising sales leads right away! Your hot leads should be followed up (by phone unless they have requested otherwise) within one or two days of show close.

  • Hot Leads: Your best bet is to re-connect by phone. Re-qualify the lead, gauge the interest level, and rank the probability of a sale.
  • Warm and Cold Leads: Only after addressing your hot leads should you worry about your warm or cold leads. They are still potential clients! Follow-up with them within one week of the show, either by phone, mail or e-mail. Keep them in your system and stay in touch with them throughout the year.

Follow-Up Your Follow-Up: Your initial follow up is most likely the first time your potential client will hear from you, but it should by no means be the last. If you have time, continue to work leads until they pan out. Do not give up on a hot lead because they declined to take immediate action. Add them to your mailing list, your e-mail list, your holiday cards list – whatever means of consistent communication your company does. Even though these prospects have not purchased yet, they should still be considered good potential clients.

So what are you waiting for? Start following up with those trade show leads!

How to get the most from the Trade Show Experience

Friday, April 27th, 2012

To get the most out of your Trade Show Experience, you will need three things.

  1. A plan
  2. A plan
  3. A plan

No successful trade show vendor has ever “winged it.” Luckily, we at Adler Display have several tips on trade show planning for success, from getting your booth there to booth staffing to the return trip home.

Booth Set Up

Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to set up, because you may find that you are missing an item or two or that a light bulb has burned out. And you need time to make any unexpected changes / repairs.

Booth Staffing

A common mistake is over-staffing your booth. So try to stick with the following formula:

2 booth staffers for the first 10′ of booth space + 1 staffer for each additional 10′ of space. That equation would work like this:

  • 10×10 space = 2 staff people
  • 10×20 space = 3 staff people
  • 20×20 space = 4 staff people
  • 20×30 space = 5 staff people

Attracting People to your Booth – Trade Show Displays from Adler Display

No matter what type of trade show display you choose, one of our Adler Display trade show display project managers will make sure it’s done on time and on budget. From quick and easy banner stands to large and complex custom island displays, Adler Display has the trade show display staff and experience to create your ideal trade show display. Adler Display will work with you to design and fabricate a trade show display that meets your marketing and budget needs.

Generating Leads

You attend trade shows for one reason, to generate leads and thus business. The key to obtaining leads that can be turned into sales calls (and subsequently sales) starts with a good Lead Retrieval System. Most trade shows make good lead retrieval systems available to exhibitors at a very reasonable rate. These systems generally scan an attendee’s badge or card, log the information into a database, and print a hard copy. What they do not do, however, is electronically log additional information that your booth staff may gain in a conversation.

A good way to make the electronic information valuable is to review the hard copy printout while your visitor is in the booth, and use it to make any notes about your conversation that will be helpful in the follow-up phase. Be sure to write legibly…back at the office you may not remember your conversation!

Good Luck!

Tips for Creating Winning Trade Show Displays

Friday, April 13th, 2012

When it comes to trade show displays, your options are nearly endless. And new display products are being introduced almost constantly, making it tough to narrow down what display elements are essential for your trade show display.

Luckily for you, we at Adler Display have provided our Top 6 Display Design Tips to get you started.

  1. Communicate: Once you have determined you target audience, you need to determine how to effectively communicate to that audience.
  2. Simplify: Many exhibitors try to cram too much information onto their trade show displays. Too many graphics, too many messages, or just too much “stuff” in general can be overwhelming and confusing to booth visitors. Try to keep visuals, messages and literature to a minimum. This will help visitors understand what you do quickly, which will help ensure that they remember you back at the office.
  3. High Quality Graphics: Using a stock photo can be a bad idea. After all, nothing can be more disheartening to a trade show exhibitor than seeing a competitor using the same imaging in their booth! So try to use only high quality, unique images.
  4. Signage to Attract and Direct: Not only can good signage capture the attention of passers by, but it can be used to help direct booth visitors to particular areas of interest as well.
  5. Stand Out: How do you attract people to your booth? Your trade show display, that’s how! Your display design should be well laid out, have a clear message, and should attract show goers attention from a distance.
  6. Trust Adler Display: As always, the pro’s at Adler Display are here to help with all of your display needs. We offer a wide range of trade show displays from banner stands and tabletop displays to ultra-large 40×60 displays and larger. No matter what type of trade show display you choose, our trade show display project managers will make sure it’s done on time and on budget. From quick and easy banner stands to large and complex custom island displays, Adler Display has the trade show display staff and experience to create your ideal trade show display. Tips for Trade Show Success

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

Exhibiting at a trade show can be a rather pricey experience, with new expenses popping up at every turn. And while you cannot plan for every expense, you can get a good idea of your budget by working ahead of time to plan for all of the details.

Trade Show Planning

1. Choosing a Trade Show: Before choosing to attend the same old trade show, ask yourself the following questions:

•     Do we still hit our target?

•     Are they still financially feasible?

•     Do we continue to see tangible results after the show is done?

If the answers to any of those questions is “no”, you need to re-think your involvement there. New trade shows are being added annually, so explore your options and do not fall into a pattern.

2. Set Trade Show Goals: The first step in planning your next trade show is to take some time to think about WHY you are exhibiting and set some realistic goals for the show’s outcome.

•     Branding/Image Building

•     New Product/Service Launch

•     Product Sales/Orders

•     Meet Existing Clients

•     Prospecting/Lead Generation

•     Evaluate Your Competition

With these reasons for exhibiting in mind, sit down and write out your goals for the show. Your goals should be realistic and quantifiable.

3. Choosing Trade Show Displays: Trade show displays can provide visual impact — something that will stop a trade show prospect in their tracks. We offer a wide range of trade show displays from banner stands and tabletop displays to ultra-large 40×60 displays and larger. Our experts can show you a number of ideas for:

•      Trade show displays

•      Banner stands

•      Tabletop displays

•      Fabric pop-up displays

•      10-foot displays

•      Inline displays

•      Island displays

•      Rental displays

•      Kiosks

No matter what type of trade show display you choose, our trade show display project managers will make sure it’s done on time and on budget. From quick and easy banner stands to large and complex custom island displays, Adler Display has the trade show display staff and experience to create your ideal trade show display. Adler Display Designs Mount St. Mary’s University Display

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

Mount St. Mary’s University approached Adler Display about creating an engaging gallery of eight wood-framed graphic panels within the Miller Senate Building. The panels had to communicate the four pillars of the university — faith, discovery, leadership and community – while visually conveying the look and feel of the Mount within the confines of the Miller Senate Building’s own historic appearance.

The challenge was not an easy one, but, of course, Adler Display was up to the challenge!

In order to visually bridge the gap between the Senate building’s black and white gallery and the rich woods and colors of the Mount St. Mary’s natural palette, Adler Display’s design team added contemporary accents of aluminum and acrylic to the displays. Furthermore, to protect the integrity of the public space, Adler fabricated wall panels around the existing ceiling track, leaving the wall surfaces intact.

The experts at Adler Display understand the importance of our country’s historic buildings. With over 30 years experience in creating historic building displays, you can be assured that we will respect the integrity and materiality of your historic building. We identify, respect and work within the delicate fabric of historic buildings and we can help you bring the history of a historic building to life, educate guests and work to bring art, artifacts, and information to the forefront. The superior design team at Adler Display can create stunning and impactful historic building displays for you no matter what your unique challenges may be.

Adler Display has created informational and inspiring historic building displays for a variety of properties listed on The National Register for Historic Preservation.
