Adler Display
and BlueWater Help American Truck Company Hit the High Road with
Large Rental Display for Assn. of U.S. Army Event
BALTIMORE, Nov. 30, 2004 – Adler Display, which is growing in
reputation and reach in helping major companies hit the high road at
trade shows and conventions, has done so again with an innovative
display for the American Truck Company (ATC).
Adler Display (www.adlerdisplay.com)
worked with the BlueWater Agency (www.bluewateragency.com)
of Annapolis to design and build a
50’ x 50’ rental display for American Truck Company (www.americantruckco.com),
which was used at the 40th Annual Meeting of the
Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA,
www.AUSA.org) at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center,
October 25-27. The AUSA Annual Meeting is the world’s largest
manpower forum.
Ron Adler, president of Adler Display, said his
company teamed with BlueWater to create a large rental booth “that
really did the job for American Truck Company.”
“By choosing to go with a booth created and rented
for a one-time use, ATC was able to meet specific needs with less
overall effort and at a reduced cost – without sacrificing quality,”
said Adler. “While some may think of rental booths as small pop-ups
carried to a show site, we were able to develop a large and very
substantial presence for ATC that truly met its specific needs for
the AUSA Annual Meeting.”
“Putting together a booth which traveled well and
which drew a large crowd for ATC was a challenge we welcomed,” he
said.
Jean Tullier, CEO and founder, of BlueWater Agency,
said the decision to rent an exhibit was made because ATC does only
one large trade show a year.
“By renting a booth from Adler, we are able to
provide ATC with a tailored look each year, specific to what
vehicles ATC wants to showcase, the size of the vehicles, and the
size of their show space,” Tullier said. “Thus ATC gets a booth
that meets their specific needs for that event, rather than being
forced to ‘live with’ a purchased booth which would have to be
reconfigured for each event. We felt that this was the most
cost-effective approach, and were pleased to be able to create a
highly dramatic exhibit using rented materials.”
Adler said the display, which shipped in 12 large
crates, included a tri-truss surrounding the perimeter with large
fabric dye sublimation graphics hanging from its center. There were
also extrusions that supported 16’ tall fabric dye sublimation
graphics that aimed at attracting attendees. The booth’s reception
area featured a reception counter with logos on Plexiglas panels,
lockable storage, and a 42-inch plasma monitor. In addition, the
American Truck booth had a semi private meeting room, halogen
lighting, and a storage closet.
The October-November period has been particularly
busy for Adler. The company, family- owned and run since its
founding in 1937, also created a major display for Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries America, Inc., for SuperCorr Expo 2004 (www.supercorrexpo.org)
in Atlanta, Nov. 8-12, the largest corrugated containers machinery
show in the Western Hemisphere.
